flea market fun

last week number two joined me to the long beach flea market. I had never been before.

we had gone to the pasadena flea market but i always leave that place empty handed.

things just seem to be overly priced {or i'm getting cheap}.

we found this great old tool box, i love the red rusty color.

there were lots of fun things to look at, he was really interested in the toys

these horses were just dreamy.

i was really liking the old rusty bikes, isn't this basket cute?

i bought this iron boxer for hubby, i just loved it, i never find boxers anything.

you notice the resemblance?

riley was pretty curious too, he took a nibble to it.

number two's pick, it will look great with a christmas tree tied to the back.

and i bought this sweet camera for my collection, loved it!

number two and mom, we had lots of fun together :)
we plan on going back soon to find more goodies.

i have made several purchases on etsy this year.

i love that the items are handmade, beautiful, artistic, creative, and unique.

i just purchased this for my laptop.

i have been looking at several cases for it and finally decided on this one

i like the simplicity.

i also wanted to buy this

 but because of my commitment to regenerate i just added it to my fave list

i have had my eye on this print for a while too.

 i purchased another print from this shop and loved it.

and i have been drooling over this bunting banner that i saw on meg's blog. i must have one

 but again gotta wait..

isn't it adorable.

well enough drooling...for today

i am off to visit my sister as she moves in to the neighborhood

as number one said today "best day ever mom, i will never forget it" 

and number two affirmed his statement.

this is why

 they asked for something sweet and took out all the ingredients.

smores with ghiradelli chocolate caramel, looked delish!

but unfortunately, i did not have any.

{i type this as my mouth is watering looking at this yumminess}

i'd love to tell you that i roasted the marshmallows in the backyard fire pit, but i'd be lying to you.

we don't have a fire pit, but i used the next best thing, my viking stove.

best day ever, really? that simple?

sometimes it's the little things that mean the most.

home goods goodies

tuesdays are my photography classes :)

after class i have a few hours before i pick my boys up from school.

 i usually go get some lunch {a brc burrito from el pollo loco, my favorite}

and then i stop by Home Goods and TJ Maxx that are conveniently next to each other.

here are some of the goodies i have acquired lately.

mr. owl, isn't he cute? i just loved the color, perfect for my laundry room.

this wire market basket, it was the only one there. it now holds my towels in the laundry room.

and this sign

this chicken and the sign were a gift from my sister from home goods.

i absolutely loved this cup with the sweet birdie to hold my jewelry.

as i am looking at all these pictures i realize there is a lot of blue and animal going on
hmm, is that my new trend?

i think i better not make it habit of going to home goods every tuesday.

i may go broke.

but it sure feels good to score a few nice things for the house.
